Using a Rollerball as a Ballpoint Pen
Rollerball pens have an appeal all on their own. Many people like the look of a rollerball pen that has a separate cap. But, what do you do if you need to use a ballpoint pen? Sometimes, you have to have a ballpoint, such as when working with multiple copies, carbon copies and other situations where you have to press down a bit harder or cannot use the free-flowing ink on a rollerball pen. What to do? Are you simply out of luck?
There is a solution to the problem. We can convert any of our handmade rollerball pens to use a ballpoint cartridge. A small insert fits in the pen that allows for a standard Parker style ballpoint cartridge to be used in your rollerball pen. The insert is not permanent, which gives you the best of both worlds. You have a rollerball pen that can be used as a ballpoint pen, giving you the best of both worlds.
If you would like to convert your handmade rollerball pen to use both rollerball cartridges and ballpoint pen cartridges, just contact us, or put a note in the comments section when ordering your pen. Or you can order the individual rollerball to ballpoint converter here.
