Handmade Fountain Pen Big Leaf Maple Rhodium/Titanium

Stunning Big Leaf Maple Burl that has spectacular figure in the grain!  The brown color of this wood is uniquely colored with highlights of light and dark colors in the grain.   It is beautiful, stunningl handcrafted fountain pen. It is appropriate for anyone who wants to make a big, bold statement!  This is one of the larger pens that I make.

This fountain pen has been handcrafted by turning a blank of Big Leaf Maple Burl and finishing it to a mirror polish.  All external components are finished with a Rhodium and Black Titanium finish coating providing durable service. This is a fountain (not ballpoint or rollerball) pen which has a separate cap to cover the pen.  This is a difficult wood to turn, and the striking holes in the grain add character. It writes very smoothly and easily, and takes a cartridge to make it easy to refill. The nib is a medium point and is made in Germany. It is tipped with iridium for a smooth writing experience.

The pen is very stylish and shows well in all lighting conditions. The pen will make a memorable gift for any occasion, such as a Birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, Graduation Day, Bosses or Secretaries Day.

The pen is constructed first by hand selecting each piece of wood and then turning the pen to final shape. The pen is then sanded 6 times with progressively finer grits of sandpaper to create a very smooth surface. Multiple coats of finish are applied to protect the wood for years of hard use. The surface is polished to a mirror like shine using 12 polishing steps to create a showroom quality finish.

Comes with ink cartdridge and a velvet pen sleeve. Replacement ink cartridges can easily be found at most drugstores and office supply stores. You'll also receive a Certificate of Authenticity with each pen ordered.  Product dimensions are the size of the pen inside its box.

The pen in the picture is the one you will receive. If you are interested in multiple pens, please contact us. Since each pen is a unique work of art, exact duplicates are not possible. But, we will do our best to create duplicates of the pen, using the same wood and finish.
