Handcrafted Fountain Pen Boxelder Burl with Gold and Chrome

Simply breathtaking! So take a deep breath and exhale slowly.  This Boxelder Burl Fountain Pen has a rich yellow-tan color pronouced with brown eyes in a sea of swirling grain which make this pen stand out in a crowd! Its rich yellow / tan color is mixed with light browns.  Simply eye-catching!  A very nice looking fountain pen which is sure to impress everyone around.  It is finished in a Gold color with Chrome accents.  It feels great to hold and has a good weight balance.   

This fountain pen has been handcrafted by turning a blank of Boxelder Burl and finishing it to a mirror polish.  All external components are finished with a Gold finish with Chrome accents.  The finish will provide of durable and dependable service. This is a fountain pen (not ballpoint) pen which has a separate cap to cover the pen.  The cap does post (that is, it can screw onto the back of the pen).   It writes very smoothly and easily, and takes a cartridge to make it easy to refill. The nib is a medium Iridium point nib and is made in Germany.  (This pen can be converted to a rollerball pen, if desired.  Just send me an e-mail if you are interested in the rollerball pen.)

The pen is very stylish and shows well in all lighting conditions. The pen will make a memorable gift for any occasion, such as a Birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, Graduation Day, Bosses or Secretaries Day.

The pen is constructed first by hand selecting each piece of wood and then turning the pen to final shape. The pen is then sanded 7 times with progressively finer grits (180, 220, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1200) of sandpaper to create a very smooth surface.  The surface is polished to a mirror like shine using 12 polishing steps to create a showroom quality finish.  It is finished with a hand application on a preservation wax.

The pen comes with black ink, ink converter and a pen pouch. Replacement ink can easily be found at most office supply stores or at Mazurka Pens in our fountain pen ink section. You'll also receive a Certificate of Authenticity with each pen ordered.  Product dimensions are the approximate size of the pen.

The pen in the picture is the one you will receive. If you are interested in multiple pens, please contact us. Since each pen is a unique work of art, exact duplicates are not possible. But, we will do our best to create duplicates of the pen, using the same wood and finish.
