Product DescriptionThis is a great looking handcrafted wood pen made from Desert Ironwood. It has a spectacular color, of rich browns and blacks. Desert Ironwood is very dense, but turns on the lathe well. The pen has been made by hand turning a blank of Desert Ironwood and finishing it to a mirror polish. All external components are chrome with a gold colored plating detail and coating which will provide durable service. This is a Rollerball pen which has a separate cap to cover the pen. It does post. It writes very smoothly and easily. This pen can be made into a rollerball pen - please e-mail if interested. The pen is very stylish and shows well in all lighting conditions. The pen will make a memorable gift for any occasion, such as a Birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, Graduation Day, Bosses or Secretaries Day. The pen is constructed first by hand selecting each piece of wood and then turning the pen to final shape. The pen is then sanded 7 times with progressively finer grits (180, 220, 320, 400, 600, 800, 1200) of sandpaper to ceate a very smooth surface. Multiple coats of finish are applied to protect the wood for years of hard use. The surface is polished to a mirror like shine using 12 polishing steps to create a showroom quality finish. Comes with ink, either blue or back and a velvet drawstring pen sleeve. We carry replacement ink or it can be easily found at most drugstores and office supply stores. You'll also receive a Certificate of Authenticity with each pen ordered. Product dimensions are the size of the pen inside its box. The pen in the picture is the one you will receive. If you are interested in multiple pens, please contact us. Since each pen is a unique work of art, exact duplicates are not possible.
